Article Top Solo Dance Performances

Usually the most favourite events at college festivals are the dance competitions. Whether it’s Western, Bollywood, Duets or even Folk, it’s the dance events that garner the most attention and generate the highest excitement. Of course we had the time of our lives watching some of the most brilliant dancers performing in fests last year and we’ve been bringing our favourite picks to you in the last couple of weeks. Since we wanted to save the best for last (well, second last) our next category is the Solo Dance category. Without further ado, here are our Top 3 favourite routines from the year gone by:

Shubhashish, Dyal Singh College (Morning)

Shubhashish’s kick ass solo performance at AIIMS’ Pulse totally blew our minds away. His effortless and absolutely on point moves made a very difficult routine seem fairly simple and fabulous. Watch it and you’ll know why he’s our first pick:

Kajal Bisht, Jagan Institute of Management Studies

This routine is one of our all-time favourites. Kajal’s flawless popping and locking dance moves had the audience cheering for her on the top of their voices. Trust me, you do not want to miss out on this one.

Terrific Contemporary Dance at Malhar*

This is hands down one of the most beautiful contemporary dances that we’ve seen. The raw emotion that this dancer portrayed in this routine was truly incredible. Watch as she sways across the dance floor leaving everyone spellbound.
