Ranbhoomi, the sports fest of IIM Indore is back with a bang! Taking place from the 3rd-5th of March, this year it promises to be bigger and better than ever before. So after we gave you the 3 must knows of the fest, here are 5 things that you should expect at Ranbhoomi ’17:

Go Sports!

IIM Indore’s Ranbhoomi invites you to compete well, give the game your all, and walk away victorious. And the sports played here are – basketball, carom, chess, mens physique, badminton, cricket, football, powerlifting and more. They also have niche events like Taekwondo, Kabbadi, Crossfit & Triathlon! You name it, they have it.


The Esteemed Personalities

Ranbhoomi has witnessed the presence of many celebrities in the past- Milkha Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Yogeshwar Dutt and more. And this year, you will be able to be in the same space as Mariyappan (Gold Medallist, Rio Paralympic Games 2016), Sharad Kumar (Gold Medallist, Incheon Asian Para Games 2014) & Sahil Khan! Trust us you do not want to be anywhere else.

The Social Initiatives

Ranbhoomi ’17 has associated itself with iHelp, IIM-IPM’s first ever campaign against mass illiteracy. iHelp’s missions is to educate, encourage, motivate, inspire and lead the underprivileged children of Madhya Pradesh to pursue higher education which will stabilize their economic well-being to a large extent. Ranbhoomi has organized events, drives and campaigns to help them with the same. One of the highlight is the Gully Cricket Tournament that will be held for the children of the primary schools from the villages nearby. The winners will get goodies, a chance to visit the IIM Indore campus and spend a day with the Ranbhoomi team. Hats off to them!
