PICT IEEE Student Branch publishes a newsletter every 6 months called P.I.N.G.

The Student Branch conducts an event per semester:

Credenz (Semester I)

Credenz Tech Dayz (Semester II)

Credenz

PICT IEEE Student Branch (PISB), one of the most active student branches of IEEE, is a proud host of the annual technical event Credenz. It is one of the most innovative scientific technical and management events held in August

each year. It is organized exclusively by students of PISB. It has grown manifold since its inception in 2004, and has made a name for itself as a technical renaissance showcasing the young emerging minds of technocrats and administrators. Through its deluge of competitions, lectures, exhibitions and workshops Credenz endeavours to enkindle the minds of thousands of students visiting annually. Over the years, it has attracted the connoisseurs of engineering and technology.

Credenz represents zenith of science and engineering in a landscape of future visionaries and scientists. From thrilling competitions to the enriching workshops, every bit promises to be a fulfilling experience. Workshops conducted by experts for the budding engineers, seminars conducted by aficionados on upcoming technologies were focal points of the event. The event has been a symposium of young minds from numerous colleges across the nation to participate in innovative events and inculcate new technicalities.

We, members of PISB, carry with us an unrelinquishable fire and an indomitable determination to make CREDENZ a world-class event.

Credenz Tech Dayz (CTD)

(ctd.credenz.info)

Credenz Tech Dayz(CTD) is organized by the PICT IEEE Student Branch annually, in the even semester, to coincide with the IEEE membership drive. CTD brings with it a gusto that is portrayed in the form of seminars by esteemed industrialists. These seminars provide a platform wherein the students are exposed to the latest innovations in technology. They also get an opportunity to interact with experts from the industry, thus giving them further insights into and helping them to develop their skills in the technical field.

Many seminars were organized as a part of CTD’15. Experts from companies like IDEA Cellular, Airtight Networks, Tech Mahindra shared their knowledge with us. The seminars on “Robotics”, “Android App Studio” and “Gaming and Related Technologies” drew deep interest from the students, while those on “Wifi and IoT” and “Telecommunication unfolding” were also immensely appreciated. The seminars on areas like “3D-printing” and “Big Data” shed light on concepts heard by all but known to very few. A seminar on “start-up” was useful for learning more about how a business is initiated and works.
