Goonj – The Group From Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad at AIIMS’ Pulse
This group from Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad showcased their theatre talent at the cultural festival of AIIMS Delhi, Pulse and left us completely spellbound. Their hinglish stage play on terrorism is not just riveting but also almost professional – with the perfect dialogues, great stage setting and brilliant actors. Here’s our first must watch!
Rohan Mehra, Jamia Millia Islamia Uni Student’s Powerful Mono Act at Mood Indigo
Even though riots and conflict have become a common choice for theatre scripts, there are only a few that manage to touch us deeply and leave us almost stoked- and you know those are the ones done right. This is what Rohan Mehra’s performance did to us at IIT Bombay’s Mood Indigo. His mono act depicting a Hindu-Muslim love story during the Godhra Riots left us mesmerised and in tears, all at the same time. Ready for our second must-watch?
‘Phrase of Life’ By SIES College Students at Mithibai College’s Paparazzi
The last pick for the theatre and drama category is the hilarious and brilliantly acted stage play by the students of SIES College called ‘Phrase of Life’. At Mithibai College’s BMM Festival, Paparazzi, these students presented their thoughts on the new-age life and some of the situations millennials face today. Believe us – you’ll thank us for this one.
