For our next Boombox talent, dance is not just a hobby, it’s his passion and what he wants to do his entire life. Meet Yash Patel, a student of Jai Hind College, Mumbai, who started learning dance 5 years ago, in Junior College. The first stroke of inspiration came when he saw his seniors perform on stage.
I have been dancing since Junior KG but my first proper stage performance was at a college event in FYJC called GSM Jashnn. Before I could even finish my act, I realized that people had already started liking me and that’s how it all started.
Yash has already performed at more than 45 college events including Malhar, Umang, Kaleidoscope, Kshitij & Mood Indigo. Not just that, he has also done more than 60 events professionally, nationally as well as internationally.
For Yash, college played a major part in growing his talent. He also has a YouTube Channel which he runs along with his dancer friend Mohak Manghani.
Check out his fab moves in this fun video of Galti Se Mistake from Jagga Jasoos:
So what inspires this fantastic dancer, we ask?
My inspiration is the smile on the face of the audience when they see me perform. I aspire to be really famous and wish to open up dance and fitness classes across the globe.
This young dancer is all set to perform next in USA and Canada for Sonu Nigam’s live concert in August! With him already doing such amazing work around the world, we can only expect Yash to soar greater heights in the time to come.
