Meet Sympulse’s Very Own Mini-Celebrity

Read about this Pune-based student student and actor, and one of Sympulse’s finest talents.

The 9th edition of Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies’ Sympulse is all set to take kick-start on the 17th of January, and the excitement is now at its peak. Being one of Pune’s grandest & most popular college fests, preparation for this 5-day event started nearly 7 months prior.

Sympulse has always been a place where students from across the country can showcase their talent, including some from Pune itself. One such student, Verun Chavaan, has been leaving an impression on everyone who has spotted him at the fest since the last 2 years. So who is he?

Verun is an actor looking to make it big in the Indian Film Industry and has acted in multiple short films, with roles varying from in a music video, to a frustrated boyfriend, to a pre-independence era student, and everything in between. He’s soon going to be seen in films screened at festivals. His Instagram profile is quite entertaining, while his videos on YouTube get a lot of views. Most people are huge fans of the videos he posts imitating and impersonating famous actors, singers and personalities from films. He’s met Nawazuddin Siddiqui and taken a video impersonating him, WITH him!

While he won hearts at the Solo Acting event where he recited Shahid Kapoor’s famous monologue from Haider at Sympulse ’16, he performed SRK’s monologue from Chak De, in front of Suniel Shetty at Sympulse ’17 and received accolades for it. If he does end up coming to Sympulse this year, then this is one individual no one should miss out on. Be there to witness some true fun- Filmy Masala Style!
